Patient Reviews and Feedback

“I started therapy with Allison Burwell about a year ago and it has been one of the best decisions I could have made for myself during a troubling time. Allison helped me work through my depression and anxiety by offering different strategies, techniques, and self care options; many of which I have never heard of before until starting therapy with her! Additionally, Allison is a very empathic, kind, and patient therapist. Each session felt authentic and genuine. She recalled many details from previous sessions, which was comforting to me because it showed she really does care about my improvement in my mental health. On a professional level, Allison is always on top of sending appointment reminders, as well as being flexible with changes in schedules. I highly recommend to any person who is wanting to start therapy to reach out to her! -SG”

"A tremendous counselor. Kind, empathetic and always made me feel safe and valid. I've struggled with depression and anxiety for over a decade. I've been seeing Allison close to a year now and I feel like I've finally...broken through. It took many sessions, and a lot of work on my part. But Allison was ALWAYS there for me, each time I showed up to our sessions, there to listen, to help or heck, even hand me tissues while I cried. If you're reading this because you're interested in seeking mental health help from Allison, I strongly encourage you to do so! Give her a call. Her warm voice will right away put you at ease. Then show up to y'alls appointment and sit in her office and you'll see what I mean. She'll listen to you. She'll sit there with YOU as you both unravel your past trauma and/or current fears.

She'll make you feel like one day you'll be....another version of yourself. Not a perfect version. You won't be 100% cured from your mental illness. But instead and more importantly, you'll feel empowered to keep fighting that good fight with healthy coping skills, and knowing you have support from an amazing and intelligence Counselor who's got your back.

Because one day, love, you WILL be there. No matter how long it takes. You'll get there. And when you do, kindly tell a loved one who's struggling like you were/are to go see Allison so they too can start the road of getting a hold of their mental health." -A.H.
